Pilot Lite Expands in US

We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our executive team at Pilot Lite USA’s office. Joel Nelson, Pete Dulcamara, and Nigel Hughes are powerhouses in the CPG industry who have worked for world-leading companies in innovation, R&D, sustainability, and executive management. They join PL USA CEO Dave Behringer to help US companies quickly deploy strategy and innovation into the marketplace.

 

Joel is a visionary leader in strategy, innovation and business development. He has led transformative initiatives in external innovation and knowledge management at Cargill and General Mills. His achievements include designing and implementing frameworks to commercialize disruptive innovation, and launching successful supplier-enables innovation programs. He holds a PhD in chemistry and has a strong interest in AI/ML technologies.

Pete most recently served as chief scientist, VP of corporate research and engineering, and site leader at the Innovation and Operational Excellence Center at Kimberly-Clark, where he led the company’s discovery, development, and delivery of science and technology. He also served as senior R&D executive at the Dow Chemical Company, managing new business development, sustainable development, mergers and acquisitions, corporate licensing, and new ventures. He is an alumnus of the Prince of Wales’s Business & Sustainability Programme and the Tuck Executive Program on Innovation Strategy at Dartmouth College.

As the senior VP of Global R&D at the Kellogg Company (now Kellanova), Nigel revamped the company’s innovation suite using a test-and-learn approach to offer a diverse mix of flavors from around the world. He was also the chief R&D officer for SC Johnson and the vice president and head of R&D for the Danone global dairy business. He served as CEO of Danone's Nutricia North America business and spent 14 years as a research scientist at Unilever.
